Greetings, celestial community. It’s the second of our two late summer eclipses this year. Let’s unpack the frenzied, chaotic energy together.
The New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo, 29º05’
September 21, 2025 9:54pm CEDT
Two weeks ago, we had the Lunar Eclipse in Pisces. As they come in pairs, and are spaced out by two weeks, we’ve arrived at the second half of this Eclipse season with the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo.
Whereas the Full Moon’s light was blotted out on the ecliptic path two weeks ago (Lunar Eclipse), now they trade places: the Sun goes dark on the Solar Eclipse during the New Moon.
Though the Sun and Moon join in the sign of the maiden, the ruling planet, Mercury, has just moved its way into charming Libra, after zipping through Virgo at lightning speed.
What this means: there’s a bit of balance (Libra) to temper the intense Virgo energy.
What is Virgo energy?
Here’s a rundown: the sixth sign of the Zodiac is precise, perfecting, refining and refined. A Virgo sees anything (literally, anything — a person, an outfit, a living room, a PowerPoint) and says, “I can make this better.”
Now take all that energy, and dial it up a little too much: that’s the Eclipse energy. This can take our energy from self refinement to self depreciation... Editorial to outright criticism.
We talked about this two weeks ago, but this is where again, on the Pisces-Virgo axis, victim mentality can come up, as a result of too much self refinement and critiquing. If you start hearing your internal monologue take a turn toward the berating, self-flagellating end of the spectrum (ex: “Everything’s my fault, I’m an idiot.”), catch yourself mid thought, and release.
Why is everything so insane right now?
Feeling crazy lately? You’re not alone.
The Eclipse in Virgo might be bringing up some uncomfortable lessons…. But it’s extremely important to deal with whatever is coming up now.
It will feel challenging, but the alternative is worse: if you ignore it or suppress it, the problem or challenge will continue to grow until the next Eclipse… and get much messier (and potentially more painful).
Be brave. These lessons are coming up for a reason… and because you can handle them.
Wine & Ritual
Rest, don’t manifest. We recommend skipping wine on Eclipses as well.
But do handle whatever needs to be handled (you’ll know when it comes up).
Remember, Eclipses bring with them a frenetic, almost frenzied energy. Lay low and rest, protect your energy, hydrate, and don’t overbook yourself. People might still be acting a little wild for the next week or so… that’s to be expected. Keep your body and energy as pure as possible (Virgo loves purity). We don’t want to mess with this volatile, overcharged energy.
We’ll be back in two weeks for a huge clearing and release — and your next round of personal horoscopes — with the Full Moon in Aries.
